On Friday 19th of May, Soundwell Academy had its first official STEM day with lots of fun activities facilitated by our very own Science teacher Danny Davis and supported by our excellent staff. It was an opportunity for staff and students to participate in fun, yet educational activities like chemistry where we experimented to understand acid and alkali in everyday products and the significance of red cabbages as an indicator solution in figuring this out. We also enjoyed some time outside building our own Bug Hotel to help Insects and other mini beasts who may need safe spaces to shelter, hide from predators and raise their young.
