Cleaners

Bristol Salary: Bristol Living Wage (£9.50 per hour)

Start: 1st September

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  15 hours per week. 3 pm till 6 pm daily.

 

Soundwell Academy are seeking to appoint an honest, hardworking and reliable person with an ability to relate well to children and adults to join our, happy, vibrant and successful school.

Working under the supervision of the Site Manager, the cleaning team will be responsible for cleaning the site and ensuring the site is ready for the pupils to come in the next day. The cleaners will carry out all cleaning tasks to predetermined quality standards, in a safe and proper manner observing all Health and Safety, COSHH, manual handling and security regulations.

Kitchen Manager

Bristol Salary: BG11: (Actual starting salary £28,654 – £30,327 per annum)

Start: 1st September

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  37 hours per week, Term time only. Normally starting at 7:30 AM till 4 PM during term time.

Soundwell Academy are seeking to appoint an honest, hardworking and reliable person with an ability to relate well to children and adults to join our, happy, vibrant and successful school.

Working under the supervision of the Headteacher, the Kitchen Manager will create run the Kitchen and serve meals for up to all pupils and all members of staff. The Kitchen Manager will be in charge of their own budget and adhere to the Health and safety and food preparation protocols. They will also lead a small team to support the delivery of meals to the academy.

Site Assistant

Bristol Salary: 

BG6 - 7: (starting salary £19,968 – 20,092 per annum)

 

Start: 1st September

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  37 hours per week, all year round. Normally starting at 10am till 6 pm during term time, with some flexibility during school holidays.

Soundwell Academy are seeking to appoint an honest, hardworking and reliable person with an ability to relate well to children and adults to join our, happy, vibrant and successful school.

Working under the supervision of the Headteacher and Site manager, the Site assistant will take responsibility for closing the building, making sure it’s secure and safe as well as clean and tidy. We are looking for someone who takes great pride in their work and will be determined to make our school a pleasant environment for children and staff to work in.

Residential Manager

Bristol Grade 10 SCP 24-28: £28, 772 -£32,234

(Actual Salary £24,964 - £28,065)

37 hrs per week, term time only

(plus allowances, sleep in and enhanced hours)

Full time, Permanent Contract

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our short-stay residential provision at Soundwell Academy, an Academy for young people with SEMH, ASC, SLCN and a range of other complex needs. The Short stay residential is Mon-Thurs. The Short stay Residential provides short-stay residential opportunities exclusively for the students of Soundwell Academy helping them to work towards social/emotional, life skills, academic and attendance goals.

Our aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which young people can be nurtured, motivated, can contribute to the community, improve their life skills, complete Home Learning assignments and broaden their experience through completing projects, attending events, going on trips and through encouragement to make healthy choices around food, exercise and their own personal care.

The short stay residential is an holistic provision encouraging positive behaviours and social norms through a well-developed rewards system and seeking to beneficially influence each guest’s experience of home and school life through experience of and participation in the norms of a well-structured and well-resourced provision that is safe, secure, happy and which stimulates learning.

Start date: 1st September 2021. 

 

For this post you will need: 

  • Minimum  1-2 yrs as registered manager of a residential provision for young people with SEN including SEMH, high risk and/or complex needs within the last 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of National Minimum Standards for Residential Special Schools.
  • In-depth and up to date knowledge of Childcare legislation and current safeguarding legislation including Child Protection.
