External Engagement Support
We use a range of external providers to support specialist learning on and off-site. Bristol Bears deliver the PE curriculum to learners in years 3-8 and support our staff development to ensure all pupils can access meaningful sports and PE opportunities. From year 9, pupils use the gym at Kingswood leisure centre for one PE lesson a week, supported by school staff with personal training qualifications. This aims to develop the skills and confidence they need to continue healthy exercise after they leave school.
In KS4, pupils can work towards Level 1 multi-trades qualification at Rocksteady Training, where they learn joinery, plastering, bricklaying, tiling, plumbing and career preparation skills.
In school, we are supported by Tailwind Cyclery to deliver an ASDAN-accredited Level 1 bicycle mechanics qualification to our KS4 pupils.
Learning Partnerships West are an engagement service that work with us to support learners who struggle to access lessons and offer blended provision in and out of school.
